John A. Bertelson, M.D.
Dr. Bertelson is a Fellow in Neuroimaging at DENT, where he sees patients for traumatic brain injury and memory disorders, as well as neuroimaging diagnostics. Additionally, he is currently an Assistant Professor of Neurology at UT Southwestern Medical School and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Texas- Austin.
His clinical experience includes supervising an outpatient brain injury program at a Level 1 trauma center and directing an academic, multidisciplinary, memory disorders clinic. His research into the treatment of dementia has consisted of both industry-sponsored and university-based drug trials.
Dr. Bertelson was in practice in Austin, Texas for 8 years before arriving for his fellowship training. He has extensive experience in graduate medical education, including recently serving as the interim program director of UT Southwestern's neurology residency program in Austin, Texas.
