Imaging
As a national leader in diagnostic imaging for more than 30 years, we provide a comprehensive range of imaging services using state-of-the-art equipment. Our long experience with these advanced tools uniquely qualifies our physicians and medical staff to advance the science and art of diagnostic imagining.
Founding Member of the American Society of Neuroimaging
The DENT Neurologic Institute was instrumental in founding the American Society of Neuroimaging. The institute’s founder and former president, Dr. William Kinkel, organized and hosted the first national meeting that led to the society’s creation. Dr. Kinkel served as the ASN’s second president, and helped establish today’s standards for neuroimaging practice.
Neuroimaging Fellowships and Training
We are home to one of nation’s largest fellowship programs in neuroimaging, training physicians from around the world in the use of these groundbreaking diagnostic tools.

MRI/CT
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) uses extremely powerful magnets and radio waves to detect structural abnormalities in the body caused by a wide array of diseases. When combined with a Computed Tomography (CT) scan, the images produced provide additional detail useful in diagnosing specific problems.

PET/CT
Positron Emission Tomography (PET) provides information about the actual function of internal organs such as the brain and heart. Combined with Computed Tomography (CT) scans, it allows physicians to more accurately diagnose cancers, heart disease, and brain disorders.

CT
In 1973, we purchased the third Computerized Tomography (CT) scanner in the nation. Today we continue to be a leader in CT scanning to create detailed images of the body’s internal organs. The images are used to detect a wide range of diseases and abnormalities.

Transcranial Doppler
A noninvasive ultrasound study that investigates blood flow through the
blood vessels inside the brain. This diagnostic study is typically
used to assess intracranial disease, collateral pathways inside the brain
and assist in support of several neurological conditions.

Carotid Doppler
A non-invasive exam of the carotid and vertebral arteries of the neck, this test provides crucial information about blood flow to the brain. This diagnostic procedure is typically used to help determine risk of diseases such as stroke or carotid stenosis.
