Michelle Rainka, Pharm.D.
Dr. Rainka joined the Dent Neurologic Institute’s Division of Neuropharmacology as a Clinical Pharmacist in 2007. She currently is an Adjunct Instructor in the School of Pharmacy at the State University of New York at Buffalo and also has teaching responsibilities in the D’Youville Physician Assistant Pharmacology Class. She serves as a clinical preceptor for Doctor of Pharmacy candidates. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University at Buffalo and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Neuropharmacology at the Dent Neurologic Institute.
Dr. Rainka sees patients at the Dent Neurologic Institute for Medication Therapy Management and for clinical research. She is an investigator on phase I-IV clinical trials, including three NIH dementia trials. Dr. Rainka has also co-authored several papers in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Rainka facilitates patient support groups at the Dent Institute, including a Dementia Support Group in collaboration with the Western NY Alzheimer’s Association and a Multiple Sclerosis Support Group.
